One of our favorite go-to recipes is for jalapeño poppers! It’s a guest favorite that you have got to try!
Grandpa’s jalapeño poppers
Ingredients:
2 dozen jalapeños
8 oz Cream cheese
Shredded cheese
1 lb ground venison
Seasoning for venison:
Granulated onion & garlic
Salt
Basil
Cumin
Fennel seeds
Method:
Heat cast iron skillet over medium heat with 1Tbs avocado oil
While pan heats, mix seasoning into ground venison
Add venison to heated skillet & brown
evenly
While venison is browning prep jalapeños by cutting stem end off & remove seeds using a potato peeler
Place each pepper into that really cool jalapeño popper rack made for the grill😁
When meat is cooked through remove from heat & stir in the cream cheese
Pack mixture into prepared jalapeños
Top with cheese
Cook until pepper skin has blistered a bit & can be pierced with a fork
Grill tender must sample before sharing to determine Scoville heat units as all jalapeño’s are NOT created equal!
