Ken (aka The Boss Man & Papa Bear) is the brains & the heart behind this operation. The sole operator of Ironwood Acres Timber Harvest, Ken is a self-taught first-generation logger. Most of his time is spent in the woods harvesting old growth timber for local landowners.

Over many long years, he worked to set up the lumber yard such that he could pass a thriving business onto the kids. Showing them the ropes as they grew, he dreamed of a future where they took the lumber yard to the next level.

He is the innovator, the problem solver. The one who loves nothing more than to see his family all working together. 

He is the man who can hear a loose bolt from across the entire log yard.

The one who can't bear to think a family will be cold, so he ventures out on a winter night to deliver the firewood they probably should have ordered sooner.

He is the one who makes it all happen.

Teri (AKA Momma Bear, Boss Lady) does all of the behind-the-scenes work. Anything from our website, Facebook, online orders, deliveries, machine maintenance, machine operation, log yard chainsaw needs, learning whatever Grandpa is teaching...

As owner and operator Emerald is the mastermind behind the YouTube channel. She has been able to capture riveting footage & write captivating dialog to showcase her dad’s logging business as well as the family mill. 

By taking on the task of learning the LT70 when we upgraded, she has developed the ability to demonstrate milling operation for our YouTube audience.

A lifelong dancer, Emerald continues to train with her instructor weekly. 

All that…& she can back a trailer like a pro.

Owner and operator Jade is who you talk to when you need to get things done, hence we’ve dubbed her the manager...to her sister's chagrin.  Often behind the camera, she does much of the filming for our YouTube channel. 

A quick study, Jade can operate equipment with precision. Of course, she would prefer to be reading…with a cup of coffee…

A lifelong dancer, Jade continues to train with her instructor weekly.

Judah is our full-time student & occasionally helps his mom out with tasks.  His focus is on weightlifting and training to be a professional MMA fighter. If he’s not at the gym, he can be found running around with his dog.

Larry (AKA Grampa) is Teri’s dad. Our favorite mechanic & anything construction man, he is ready & willing to share his immense knowledge.

We love having him here to teach us how to repair our equipment & build…well…anything we can dream up! His little dog Tennessee can often be seen perched on a log pile in the sun. 

​

Most of his time is spent maintaining our family property, gardens & livestock. Not to mention the endless renovations.

Grampa is our grill master & the reason why we make charcoal…because what he grills is what’s for dinner!
